  1. Am I a terrible mom because I hate cleaning up the mess of carving a pumpkin?? LOL I’ll take a plastic pumpkin anyday….#dontjudge :) I love your blog! Thanks for all of your help!

Not at all! We haven’t carved one with my boys yet and I don’t plan on doing it until one of them requests it!

  2. I recognize those painted pumpkins as ones from Young House Love! lol I’m going to try to talk the kids into painting pumpkins this year instead of carving. It’s warm where we live and I sure would hate for them to rot too early.
You did a great job of rounding up all these resources.

Thank you! I love painting pumpkins too. I feel like there are more options

  3. What a great compilation of posts! I’ve never heard of being able to preserve your pumpkins. I think I’ll have my 2 y.o. paint her pumpkin this year, what a great idea! She loves to paint (mostly herself)! I can’t wait to see what my kids will design this year.

I hope she has fun! I was happy to find some of the painting ideas for my little guy too!

  4. I’ve never known how to preserve the pumpkin once it’s carved! Thank you!
